The cherry blossoms around the fountain in City Center in Newport News, VA were beautiful this year! I love spring and all the gorgeous flowers and trees that bloom. \u00a0The Yoshino<\/a>\u00a0cherry has a light pink blossom but does not bear any fruit. \u00a0They are pretty in the spring and in the fall the leaves turn an orange-red. \u00a0These are the same trees in DC that host the Cherry Blossom Parade. \u00a0I have never been to DC to see the cherry blossoms, but City Center<\/a>\u00a0in Newport News has the same cherry trees around the fountain. \u00a0When I heard they were in full bloom, I knew I had to \u00a0head over to see them before they lost their blooms. \u00a0Enjoy some pics of my vantage point!<\/p>\n

Back home, we have a cherry tree known as the Granddaddy tree. \u00a0Dear friends gave us this tree when my father-in-law passed away 17 years old. \u00a0This is a very special cherry tree.<\/p>\n
